Ancient Mariners Rowing Club was established in 1989 with the goal of being the fastest seniors club crew in the nation. Our members range from 50 years old to 82 years young. We row as hard as we can, for as long as we can, with skill and good humor.

The commitment to training, erging, and seat racing has resulted in top 3 finishes at the most prestigious Masters rowing events. Often
defending Champions at the Head of the Charles and Windermere Cup.
While we row out of the well-known Pocock Rowing Center we maintain our own fleet of shells, doubles to eights. In addition we employ our own top notch coaching staff. Our rowers maintain dual membership which gives access to Pocock Rowing Center’s range of shells, ergs and well-appointed facilities.

Practices are Tuesday, Thursday at 6am and Saturday 7am, February – November. December and January there are Saturday practices focused on small boats. AMRC members can reserve a wherry or single through Pocock most times and days of the week. AMRC welcomes new members as space allows. We have a trial period to insure a good fit for all parties.
